Ankit is aiming to develop novel solutions for improving the performance of fabricated high-speed Si-based photodetectors. He is also interested in developing innovative strategies to incorporate these high-speed detectors into a miniaturized planar Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) system-on-a chip platform. This novel on-chip device will then aid in real-time diagnostics and guidance of surgical procedures. Apart from the medical applications, this technology can also be utilized in the sectors of energy, agriculture, environment, etc. This research work aligns with Ankit’s long-term goal of contributing to the domain of healthcare, energy, and the environment. Apart from doing research, he is also interested in the performing arts, enjoys swimming and doing yoga, and often meditates.
