Bio

Dr. Abouyared's research focus has primarily been on evaluating which factors influence head and neck cancer outcomes, and she is particularly interested in examining novel cancer treatments such as immunotherapy or checkpoint inhibitors. She also has an interest in investigating how to improve wound healing outcomes in her patients, specifically after complex surgery or chemotherapy and radiation.  

Dr. Abouyared is a fellowship-trained otolaryngologist who specializes in treating patients with both benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck. She believes in helping her patients achieve the best possible outcome by tailoring her care to each individual patient's needs. She has specific interests in complex microvascular reconstruction and robotic surgery.
