Bio

MOHAMED ABUL HASSAN received the B.E. degree (Hons.) in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of East London, in 2012, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from University Technology Petronas, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. He worked as a Research Scientist with the Institute of Health Monitoring and Analytics, from 2017 to 2018, and as Postdoctoral Associate with CLAWS groups at the University of Alabama and Image Data Science Lab at the University of Virginia from 2018 to 2021. Currently he is with the Marcu Lab at University of California, Davis and is a visiting researcher at the Image Data Science Lab at the University of Virginia. Research interests include applying computer vision and machine/deep learning-based methods to address real-world problems in healthcare including precise diagnosis and timely detection of illness.
